Arched Steel Grain Storage Building

The semi-round grain storage hangar manufactured by Angar.md for AGROTEH-NUC SRL was completed in 2017 in Soroca. The client requested a storage facility measuring 18 m x 50 m, providing a total area of 900 m².

Before construction commenced, we successfully managed all procedures required for obtaining the building permit and urban planning approvals. Our architectural and engineering team developed the project using BIM technology and advanced 3D design software, ensuring a precise and efficient solution tailored to the client’s agricultural storage needs. Throughout the entire construction process, our specialists closely supervised each stage of the project, guaranteeing compliance with all applicable construction standards and regulations.

Construction works began with site preparation and excavation for the foundation, ensuring a properly leveled and stable base for the building. The next phase involved the construction of a reinforced concrete foundation, providing long-term structural stability. Monolithic reinforced concrete walls were then erected to create a durable and reliable storage structure.

Key stages of the project included the installation of the semi-round roof system on the concrete walls, the fitting of access doors, and the installation of ventilation grilles integrated into the front enclosures. The project was completed with the construction of a power-troweled concrete floor designed to withstand intensive agricultural use while ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.

To provide optimal and hygienic grain storage conditions, only high-quality materials were used throughout the construction process. The self-supporting semi-round roof is manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel with a zinc coating of 275 g/m² and a profile thickness of 1.2 mm. This system is backed by an extended anti-corrosion warranty exceeding 40 years, ensuring exceptional durability and long-term performance.
